The first day of December is upon us and the countdown to our winter break is on for many. Not me personally, although I have heard there are only 13 school days after today 🙂 Fortunately, the weather has been far from frightful, however, I do want to remind each of us to talk to our students about dressing appropriately for the weather.
Our school community continues to be a hive of activity as students and teachers alike pursue excellence. As many of you know, first term report cards have gone home and 3 Way Conferences were held last week. It was so cool to see the many celebrations of success between students, parents, and teachers on that day. Once again the support from families for our students and staff is so very important as we help students grow into all that they can be. We definitely want to wrap around all of our students and support them in every possible way.
Students and staff continue to participate in many meaningful learning activities that have definitely given the Gator Nation a chance to show its true character. Thank you, one and all, for being such great ambassadors for our school community in all that you do.
It was a tremendous pleasure for me to spend part of a day with Mrs. Scott’s and Mrs. Kowalyshyn’s classes at Agribition. Definitely a Moooooving experience for both staff and students alike. As you can see in at least one photo above it was a tiring day for all but there were many smiles shared and much learning done. Some other photos in the mosaic above show Mrs. Luba’s class working on coding and PAA projects which definitely were electric experiences.
This week we added a new EA to our staff, Ms. Hayley Joe will be a great addition and I am sure you will all make her feel a part of this great community.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our three interns from the University of Regina who have made tremendous contributions to our school this fall:
– Amanda Burns (Leupold)
– Christine Martinuk (Pominville)
– Briana Bolt (Paoli)
You will all be missed after our winter break!
