Thankful for Argyle School

Hello Gators,

Our first month at school was as busy as ever.  In 5 short weeks we had a backpack drop-off, participated in cross country, enjoyed our open house and pot luck supper, completed our first order of spirit wear, wrapped up our magazine school fund raiser, supported Orange Shirt Day, completed our Terry Fox walk and fundraiser,  started our girls and boys volleyball teams and enjoyed a few field trips.

As I sit in my peaceful office reflecting on the past month I can’t help but feel thankful for many reasons.  I am thankful for the amazing staff at Argyle.  In my career I worked with many staffs, and this staff is truly second to none.  Their willingness to support each other and volunteer for so many extra-curricular activities is commendable.

I am thankful for the students at Argyle who are respectful, hardworking and kind. I enjoy the hugs from the younger students and the high-fives from our seniors.  I am particularly happy that I am part of the senior leadership classes where I am teaching Mindfulness every week.

I am thankful for our Argyle parents. It is so obvious that you care deeply about your children and their education.  I enjoyed meeting many of you already and look forward to working with all of you.

I am thankful for the Argyle SCC.  What am amazing group!  They already planned our entire year of fundraising and support.  If any parents want to join us, please do!  Our meetings are posted on the school calendar on the website.

Finally, I am thankful that everyone has made me feel so welcome at Argyle.  Sure, I have made mistakes and I am doing some things differently, but I have felt nothing but support and encouragement from the staff, students, parents and SCC.  Argyle feels like home to me.

Should anyone ever wish to chat or have a question, please pop in or contact the school to set up an appointment.  I look forward to working for the Argyle community and continuing to make Argyle School a fantastic place to be.
